Creativity Co-Working Sessions

Thursdays at 3pm EST/12pm PST on Zoom

This month I'm bringing together a group of folks for free Creativity Co-Working Sessions. Together we’ll make time to actually work on our art and creative projects we’ve been putting off for months (or years?) – instead of keeping them on the back burner.

Join me for a 90 minute (virtual) Creativity Co-Working Session, where you’ll get to . . .
  • make actual progress on your creative projects, instead of letting them collect dust on the shelf in the garage (or in the back of your mind)
  • get expert support to guide you through the natural ups and downs of creative work
  • get accountability and cheerleading from other creative folks and artists
  • feel that amazing feeling that comes from doing what you truly love for 90 whole minutes

Here’s how it’ll work: At the start of the session we’ll meet as a group, do a brief check-in, and I’ll share some wisdom and tools to spark creativity and support our practices. Then we’ll turn off our audio and video and have a big chunk of time to dive into our creative work. At the end, we’ll gather back together for a final check-in and give each other high-fives for actually getting some creative sh*t done!

Yeah, yeah, I know what you’re saying.

I don’t have the time. Maybe one day when I’m less busy. When my job is less demanding. When the kids are older.

But here’s the reality:

The time never comes unless you make it. No one is going to step into your calendar and free up time for your creative work–except you.

And in case you’re telling yourself that you’re not enough of an artist to do this . . . if you have any kind of creative practice, project, idea, inkling, random thought of something that could be fun to make/design/perform–this is for you. Like the endless busy-ness of our lives in capitalism, imposter syndrome is just another thing that tries to keep us from doing the stuff that makes us feel most alive. Don’t let those forces win!

And did I mention it’s free?

No, it’s not a marketing gimmick that leads into some high-priced program. I’m creating this because *I* also want accountability and community for my creative projects (currently storytelling), and I think this sounds really fun.

So, do you want to join me in this creativity-get sh*t done-aliveness-community-connection project?

If so, add your email below and I’ll put you on the list!

What people are saying

"Julia's creativity workshop was an amazing opportunity to break from routine and find inspiration to try new things. Julia is a fun, positive and supportive leader, and she created an immediate feeling of warmth and camaraderie in the small group. I left feeling refreshed and confident, and in the week since the workshop I've continued to think about bringing more creativity and less judgment into my days." S. L.

"Julia’s workshop was a welcome respite from my busy and work-centered life. It was a real treasure to get to spend a day tapping into my child-self, exploring many avenues of play and creativity. From dancing to painting to making wild sounds and beautiful harmonies, Julia’s welcoming, jubilant, and non-judgmental spirt helped me connect with myself and the group and be unafraid to make mistakes." T.W.

"Julia’s workshop was a wonderful way to tap back into my creativity, move beyond the judging mind, and into a space of self discovery and self expression. Julia holds a fun, nurturing and supportive space that helped me to feel safe exploring. I look forward to doing this again!" A. V.
